Project Information for Road Closure on Socialville-Fosters Road between Innovation Way and Columbia Road
Lebanon, Ohio – Deerfield Township / City of Mason - On Monday, March 14, 2016, Socialville-Fosters Road will be closed from Innovation Way to Columbia Road for approximately (40) weeks, weather permitting. The detour for the closure will utilize Mason-Montgomery Road to Western Row Road to Columbia Road.
This Warren County Transportation Improvement Project consists of replacing the two lane bridge on Socialville-Fosters Road over I-71 with a five lane bridge that will also carry a sidewalk. Approximately 2,000 feet of Socialville-Fosters Road will be widened to five lanes including a sidewalk from Innovation Way to Columbia Road and a roundabout will also be constructed at the Socialville-Fosters Road and Innovation Way intersection. Traffic signal improvements will be made at the Socialville-Fosters Road and Columbia Road intersection.
The project was designed by CT Consultants of Columbus, Ohio. In February of 2016 the project was awarded to Barrett Paving Materials, Inc. of Middletown, Ohio for a total bid price of $6,435,072.95. Barrett Paving Materials, Inc. is the prime contractor for the project and the Eagle Bridge Company of Sidney, Ohio is the subcontractor that will construct the bridge. Construction engineering and project inspection will be managed by a team consisting of personnel from the Warren County Engineer’s Office, Ohio Department of Transportation District 8, and the Prime AE Group, Inc. of Cincinnati, Ohio. The project is funded by the Procter and Gamble (TIF) Tax Increment Financing Fund.
The Warren County Engineer’s Office encourages drivers to stay alert and take your time when out on the road. We consider it a privilege to serve Warren County, to maintain a safe county road system and to help you get around our beautiful county.
