Nonprofit Group SaveLocalWaters.org to Auction Rain Barrels

Conservation group SaveLocalWaters.org unveiled their 2016 rain barrel art entrants this morning at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens, to be auctioned off on April 21, 2016.  According to their press release, the rain barrel project was created "to encourage the use of rain barrels by residents and businesses throughout the Ohio River" valley.  The greater purpose of the collaborative is intended to educate local citizens and businesses about "storm water runoff, watersheds, and water conservation."  http://www.savelocalwaters.org/2016-project.html

SaveLocalWaters.org, a creation of the Regional Storm Water Collaborative of Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky, raises awareness about water quality issues in the area.  The group is comprised of storm water districts, municipalities, and soil and water conservation districts in the region, such as our own Deerfield Regional Storm Water District (DRSWD). http://www.deerfieldstormwater.com/
