Regular Session 

February 25, 2010

Trustee Romano called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. Trustee Corey and Trustee Patterson was present. Also present was Interim Administrator Bill Becker, Fiscal Officer John Wahle and Law Director Tom Swope.

Executive Session

A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Corey to enter executive session (under authority of Ohio Revised Code Section 121.22G) for conferences with an attorney for the public body concerning disputes involving the public body that are the subject of pending or imminent court action. Motion carried unanimously.

A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Corey to return to regular session. Motion carried unanimously.

Opening Prayer

Faith Bible Church Pastor David Hildebrand gave the opening prayer.

Pledge of Allegiance

Trustee Patterson led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Presentation

Warren County Sheriff Larry Sims gave a report on the activities of his office in 2009.

Public Comment

JT Riley, Area Director at Claddaugh Pub, spoke about a promotion the restaurant is implementing during the Lenten season entitled, You Give Up, We Give Back, benefiting the Roll Foundation.

Trustee Romano recognized the life and contribution of Ms. Strunk, a teacher at Kings School District that recently passed away.

Fiscal Officer

John Wahle presented the agenda items.

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Patterson to approve Purchase Orders 10-14237, 14240, 14267 through 14270, 14291, 14294, 14299 and 14317. Motion carried unanimously.

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Patterson to approve Resolution 10-006 A Resolution Directing Payment of Township Expenses, Declaring an Emergency and Dispensing with the Second Reading. Motion carried unanimously.

Board Action – New Business

Public Works

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Patterson to approve Resolution 2010-007 A Resolution Accepting for Public Maintenance and Setting the Speed Limit to 25mph on Winning Stakes Way, Medallion Way and Homestretch Lane in Chestnut Hill Subdivision, Deerfield Township, Ohio. Motion carried unanimously.

Approval of Minutes

A motion by Trustee Patterson and second by Trustee Corey to approve the meeting minutes of February 9, 2010 Regular Session and February 13, 2010 Special Meeting as presented. Motion carried unanimously.

Consent Agenda

Fiscal Officer

A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Patterson to approve Warrants #56338 through 56418 and Warrants #0009000001 through 0009000009 (TIF). Motion carried unanimously.

Executive Session

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Romano to enter executive session (under authority of Ohio Revised Code Section 121.22G) Preparing for, conducting, or reviewing negotiations or bargaining sessions with public employees concerning their compensation or other terms and conditions of their employment. Motion carried unanimously.
