Trustee Corey called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Trustee Patterson and Trustee Romano was present. Also present was Interim Administrator Bill Becker, Fiscal Officer John Wahle and Law Director Tom Swope.

John Wahle presented the agenda items.
A motion by Trustee Patterson and second by Trustee Corey to approve Purchase Orders 09-13227, 13232, 13233, 13235 and 13246. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Patterson to approve Warrants #55561 through 55604. Motion carried unanimously.
John Wahle presented financial reports for the general fund, fire/EMS, parks, road and Warren County Sheriff’s Office-Deerfield Twp.Post.
A motion by Trustee Patterson and second by Trustee Corey to approve Resolution 2009-67 A Resolution Directing Payment of Township Expenses, Declaring an Emergency and Dispensing with the Second Reading. Motion carried unanimously.
Public Works
Irwin Simpson Road Project
Public Works Director Larry Weis presented the agenda item.
Warren County Engineer Neil Tunison spoke on the project. A groundbreaking ceremony will be planned at the appropriate time.
A motion by Trustee Patterson and second by Trustee Corey to approve Resolution 2009-68, A Resolution Approving Issuance Notice of Intent to Award the Construction Contract for the Irwin-Simpson Road Improvement and Relocation, Approving a Project Not to Exceed Amount and Dispensing with the Second Reading; and approve the Warren County Engineer’s Office recommendation to reject the bid from Triton Services Inc. and accept the bid from Mt. Pleasant at a base bid price of $1,706,597.10, Alt A $99,402.00, Alt B $174,061.80, for a total of $1,980,060.98, With an additional 15% contingency of $297,000 bringing the total amount awarded to $2,277,070 and authorize the township administrator to sign any applicable documents. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Romano to take a five minute break. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Romano to return to regular session. Motion carried unanimously.
Parks
King Mansion Report
Parks Director Joel Smiddy discussed necessary repairs to the King Mansion.
Bruce Goetzman, Preservation Architecture Services Team, verified the repairs and cost.
