Work Session

June 26, 2008

Trustee Corey called the meeting to order at 5:02 p.m. All members of the Board were present. Also present was Dan Evers, Administrator and Tom Swope, Law Director.

Executive Session

A motion by Trustee Corey to enter Executive Session to discuss Personnel, Pending Litigation and Property Acquisition. The Board concurred and motion carried.

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Romano to return to regular session. Motion carried unanimously.

Discussion with Landen CSA

Tim Mara, Attorney for Landen Farms CSA, asked to open dialogue between the CSA and the Board regarding the continuing siltation in Landen Lake and the following issues: financial help with removing silt in lake; prevent occurrence (better control of silt development) outside Landen, erosion of banks and tighter control upstream. A discussion followed.

Motion by Dan Corey and second by Trustee Romano to appoint Peggy Monjar to take minutes.  Motion carried unanimously.

Comprehensive Plan Review

Emily Crowe, McBride Dale Clarion, presented draft policy language and map/plans from the Comprehensive Plan. She asked for feedback from the Board and members of the Zoning Commission that were present. A discussion followed.

Fiscal Office

A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Corey to approve Resolution 2008-053 A Resolution Appointing a Temporary Deputy Fiscal Officer and Authorizing the Temporary Deputy Fiscal Officer to Sign Checks During the Period of the Fiscal Officer’s Absence from the Township and Declaring an Emergency. Motion carried unanimously.

Warrants and Payments 

A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Corey to approve
