Work Session                                

Trustee Corey called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. All members of the Board were present. Also present were Kristin Spiekerman, the Fiscal Officer, Dan Evers, Administrator and Tom Swope, Law Director.

Executive Session

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Romano to enter executive session. Motion carried unanimously.

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to return to regular session. Motion carried unanimously.

Trustee Speidel led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Fiscal Officer – Kristin Spiekerman

A motion by Trustee Romano and second by Trustee Corey to approve Purchase Orders #10864 and 10866 and Super Blankets #20806-2, 20834-3 and 20846-2. Motion carried unanimously.

A motion by Trustee Speidel and second by Trustee Corey to approve Warrants #50744 through 50828. Motion carried unanimously.

Comprehensive Plan and Fields Ertel Road Corridor Study

Lois McKnight, Community Development Director, and Emily Crow, AICP with McBride Dale Clarion, gave an update on the Comprehensive Plan.

Kingswood Park Master Plan Update

Joel Smiddy, Parks and Recreation Director, and representatives of Poggemeyer Design Group, gave an update on the Kingswood Park Master Plan.

Landen Deerfield Park

Joel Smiddy gave an update on Landen Deerfield Park regarding Warren County Park Board wanting to continue to maintain this park.

Warren County Sheriff’s Office Deerfield Township Post Quarterly Report

Lieutenant Brian Tinch, Township Post Commander, presented the second quarterly report.

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to take a five minute break. Motion carried unanimously.

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to return to regular session. Motion carried unanimously.

Zoning Text Amendment: RV Storage in Residential Areas

Lois McKnight gave an update on the issue of RV Storage in residential areas.

Fire Department Levels of Service

Dan Evers and Fire Chief Nathan Bromen gave an update on Fire Department levels of service and working with the City of Mason.

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to adjourn the meeting at 4:00 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
