Work Session

Trustee Corey called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. All members of the Board were present. Also present were Kristin Spiekerman, the Fiscal Officer, Dan Evers, Administrator and Tom Swope, Law Director.

Trustee Speidel led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Executive Session

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to enter executive session to discuss pending litigation and collective bargaining. Motion carried unanimously.

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to return to regular session. Motion carried unanimously.

Fiscal Officer – Kristin Spiekerman

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to approve Warrants #50215 through 50264. Motion carried unanimously.

Comprehensive Plan Update

Mr. Evers updated the Board on the Township Comprehensive Plan.

2007 Park Programs

Joel Smiddy, Parks and Recreation Director, presented a 2007 Park Programs recommendation. The recommended program includes youth camps that would be run by the YMCA and family movie/concert in the park series.

Planning and Engineering Services/Kingswood

Mr. Smiddy presented the planning and engineering services proposal for the Kingswood property.

A motion by Trustee Speidel and second by Trustee Corey to take a five-minute recess. Motion carried unanimously.

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to return to regular session. Motion carried unanimously.

Service Delivery Options – Fire Department

Fire Chief Nathan Bromen and Deputy Fire Chief Mike Cardwell presented the Fire Department Service Delivery Options.

Fiscal Officer – Kristin Spiekerman

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to authorize the Fiscal Officer to issue a warrant in the amount of $123,657 payable to the Bureau of Workers Compensation. Motion carried unanimously.

A motion by Trustee Corey and second by Trustee Speidel to adjourn the meeting at 4:15 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
