Brush Pick Up
4th Week of the Month
Residents do not need to
call the Township to report they have brush –
Brush removal is a free service to Township
residents.
Brush will be picked up Monday through Friday during the last full week
of every month. Brush must be placed at the curb on Monday of that week. Due
to the volume of brush, crews may not be able to go back to your street if
you put it out after they go through.
Ready for Big Snows
Deerfield Township snow plow truck, a 2006
International dump truck 4400, is
equipped with a 10-foot plow and a stainless steel tailgate salt spreader. This
truck has new and improved turning capabilities and will be a great asset in
fighting snow in subdivisions which require more moveability. This truck will be
replacing an older smaller truck and should help crews a lot this winter.
Bike Path System
On July 26, 2008, Deerfield Township opened the
newest portion of its evolving bike pathway system. Bicyclists and pedestrians
regularly use the pathways for shopping and exercise.
