Fran Klatte is Deerfield Township's Public Relations Director. She manages all internal and external communication for the Township. She began with the Township as Public Relations Coordinator in 2000, and was promoted to Director in 2006. She earned her degree in Communications/Journalism from Xavier University, graduation Magna Cum Laude. She is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, the National Association of Government Communicators, and the National Association of Professional Women. She was named the National Association of Professional Woman of the Year for 2010/2011.

Her background includes: Editor, and reporter (Pulse-Journal, Community Press, Enquirer) and broadcasting (WCPO-TV).

Fran is Editor of the Deerfield Digest newsletter, serves as webmaster for the Township website, www.deerfieldtwp.com , directs all publicity and events for the Township, and manages Twitter, Facebook and all social media accounts for the Township.
