Fire Chief

Chris Eisele

 

 

 

The Deerfield Township Board of Trustees named Chris Eisele as the Deerfield Township Fire Chief on September 9, 2008. Chris brings to the position of Fire Chief excellent leadership qualities, extensive knowledge, and a wealth of fire service experience.  Chief Eisele began his fire service career 19 years ago with the Miami Township Fire Department in Hamilton County.  Eisele was hired as Career Firefighter with the City of Forest Park in 1999.  He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2002 and Captain in 2003.

Chief Eisele began serving the citizens of Deerfield Township in December of 2000 as Part-time Firefighter/Paramedic.  Eisele left the City of Forest Park for career employment with Deerfield in 2004, when he was promoted to Battalion Chief, and served as the Unit Three Shift Commander and Chief of Special Operations and Personnel.

Chief Eisele holds an Associate Degree in Fire Service Leadership and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cincinnati State Technical College. Eisele is certified as a Firefighter II, Paramedic, Fire Safety Inspector, Fire Instructor II, Fire Officer II, and Hazardous Materials Technician. Chief Eisele graduated from the University of Cincinnati in early 2009 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fire Science.

During his career, Chris has taken several special operations classes and has been on several specialty teams, including serving as a Hazardous Material Technician with the Greater Cincinnati Hazardous Materials Team, as Rescue Technician with the Hamilton County U.S.A.R. Team, and a Medical Specialist with Ohio Task Force One.  He serves and is currently affiliated with both OHTF-1 and Hamilton County U.S.A.R. and was deployed to Hurricane Katrina in 2005.   Chief Eisele has previous experience as a Correction Officer with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, and he has attended the Tactical Medical Class offered by the University of Cincinnati and Loveland-Symmes.  

In addition to physical and tactical classes, Chris has also taken leadership classes, including: Company Officer I, II, and III;  Fire Officer I and II, Leadership I, II, and III; Leadership by Numbers, Stealth Leadership, and the MCTO classes offered at the Ohio Fire Academy.  Email Chris Eisele.
