Tree Memorial Program
Honor a loved
one with a lasting memorial, a live tree planted at one of our many
beautiful parks! This new parks program is a wonderful tribute to a
loved one and is easy to order. You choose one of many different
flowering and shade trees and where to plant it. These 15-gallon
trees vary in height from 8 feet to 12 feet, depending on the variety
chosen. Trees can be purchased for $250 each, and a nameplate for $50.
Planting will only be done from October through March, and the final
decision on location will be up to the Parks Director.
Please Note:
Trees
are guaranteed for one (1) year. After one year, Deerfield Township
Parks is not responsible for replacing trees which are no longer viable.
Deerfield Township is partnering with Natorp's for this program.

Bench Memorial Program
Here is a way
to honor a family member in a very special way. A beautiful park
bench with your loved one's name can be purchased and placed at one of
our parks. The
bench
will remain on park grounds until it becomes unsafe or aesthetically
unacceptable.

Deerfield
Township currently has a complement of 12 passive and active parks for
residents of all ages to enjoy. The last and newest addition,
Fleckenstein Park on Mason Montgomery Road, is in the final stages of
development.
Cottell Park, located on Irwin Simpson Road near
Snider Road, recently underwent a complete renovation including parking
upgrades, additional baseball fields, extension of water and sewer, and
a new restroom facility. The "new and improved" park, completed in the
spring of 2006, has been a welcome improvement to the Deerfield Township
Parks.
We are also excited about the newest addition to the
Department,
Fleckenstein
Park, with 50 acres that adjoins Chestnut Hill Subdivision. The
property, frontage along Mason-Montgomery Road, is a welcome addition to
the northwest communities of Deerfield Township. The flat topology of
the property allows for both active sport field and passive recreational
usage coexisting with the green space. Construction, expected to be
complete in the Spring of 2008, includes walking trails, tennis courts,
soccer fields, baseball fields, shelter/restroom facilities
and a playground.
