Parks and Recreation Director Joel Smiddy

Joel Smiddy was hired as Deerfield Township Parks Director in 2006. Since 2001, before his promotion, he worked as both Code Enforcement Officer and Project Manager for Deerfield Township.  Joel has a Master's in Public Administration from Northern Kentucky University, a bachelor degree in Construction Management from Northern Kentucky University and an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology/Construction Management. He also is certified from Xavier University as a Project Manager.  Joel is responsible for all park projects, properties and programs, and oversees four park employees. He has an extensive background in contracting and public service.
